China Netcom Gansu Chooses Proxim For Integrated Voice, Data Services

Proxim Wireless Corporation announced that China Netcom Gansu has selected Proxim Wireless WiMAX, mesh, and backhaul products as part of its effort to build the most cost-effective wireless data and voice network in the country.

"In China's fast-developing telecommunications market, we need to provide the best service to our customers and offer a competitive advantage. After on-site trials, Proxim's pioneering wireless solutions proved to be the one that can really meet the services and applications requirements of China Netcom Gansu customers," said Mr. Qi Yongxin, Deputy General Manager, China Netcom Gansu. "With the Proxim products installed to date, we have received many positive feedbacks from our customers praising that the network performance is superior and robust. China Netcom Gansu would like to further strengthen its partnership with Proxim to develop more advanced and cost-effective wireless solutions for our customers."

China Netcom Gansu has chosen to deploy Proxim end-to-end products including Tsunami MP.11 point-to-multipoint radios, Tsunami QuickBridge outdoor bridges, and ORiNOCO AP-4000 access points supporting voice and video applications, and offering high performance and flexibility in large deployments.
