MyETone Announces Wireless Price Comparison For Chinese Shoppers

October 25, 2006
Internet

Chinese online shopping comparison website MyETone.com has launched a wireless service that lets shoppers check prices and read product reviews while they are shopping.

Users with WAP-enabled handsets can visit wap.myetone.com and immediately search for products and view pricing and product reviews. The company says it uses technology and content that was domestically developed and its service is available anywhere that WAP can be used, including in stores.

"This is an important extension of our service, which basically puts more information and more power in the hands of consumers," said MyETone CEO Ker Gibbs. "Consumers can check prices and use that information to negotiate with the stores, or decide whether to buy the item on-line instead."

MyETone says it is able to provide this service by using the enormous product database that it already has on its website. MyETone.com currently provides information on over 100,000 products and has a growing user base that constantly contributes new product reviews and updates information on the latest products to hit the market.

MyETone.com provides product reviews on many topics including cosmetics, mobile phones, and children's toys.
