Open Country has entered into a partnership agreement with Linux solutions provider Turbolinux to deliver management capabilities for Turbolinux's Chinese customers.

"Turbolinux is well positioned to capitalize on the high growth rate of IT spending in China and is helping the country transform its digital infrastructure," said Laurent Gharda, CEO of Open Country. "With Turbolinux and Open Country's OCM, enterprise customers now have a complete system, including advanced management and support, when deploying large numbers of Linux-based servers."

Under the terms of the agreement, a customized Mandarin version of Open Country's OCM Universal Systems Management Suite will be bundled with Turbolinux Server 10.5 for the Chinese market.

OCM provides organizations with an affordable solution, enabling administrators to effectively provision, manage, monitor, and maintain Linux-based servers, desktops, blades and appliances. Open Country becomes the first commercial software vendor to offer a systems management solution for Turbolinux users, and it adds Turbolinux to its industry-leading list of over 20 supported Linux distributions, including offerings from Red Hat, Novell, Debian, Fedora, CentOS, Ubuntu, Asianux, Red Flag, Haansoft, Co-Create, CS2C, Miracle Linux, and Mandriva.

"OCM can efficiently deploy, manage and monitor Turbolinux systems distributed in different locations and business units ensuring 7×24 business continuity," said Claude Zhou, General Manager of Turbolinux China. "Turbolinux is very happy to partner with Open Country to provide the best Linux solutions for all Chinese users."
