TCL Group has made another major adjustment on its core management team.
The company has appointed Yao Rongliang as senior vice president and dismissed Yang Weiqiang as vice president. In the meantime, another vice president Yong Yan has resigned from the company.
A representative from TCL says that TCL appointed Liang as senior vice president of the company mainly because of the his rich management experience in Asia Pacific and the global market. Yan's resignation is a matter of normal personnel changes, according to the company. Yan will reportedly work as general manager of TCL Group's strategic development after resigning from the vice president position.
The 55-year old Liang had worked in Phillips for about 28 years. He had taken management positions in different parts of the Asia Pacific Region and other parts of the world prior to his joining TCL.
