On the heels of the unveiling of 3G in China, Actix has now opened a new office in Beijing to support its enterprise solution for the Chinese telecoms market.

"The opening of the new office coincides with the latest allocation of the 3G licenses and comes in time for upcoming developments in the industry, such as the increase in 3G services," stated Alex Hawker, Actix CEO. "Beijing is one of the key centers of telecommunications in China, and this expansion allows Actix to continue to develop our enterprise class products and be able to work closely with our customer and partners in the Chinese market."

At the end of December 2008, China's State Council approved China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to start the issuing of 3G licenses. The State Council says the issue of the 3G licenses will play an important role in stimulating domestic demand, optimizing the competition structure of China's telecommunications market and promoting the maturation of TD-SCDMA industry chain.

In China, Actix says its new office emphasizes Actix' presence and reflects its position as the leader in network status management and automated network optimization in the Asian market. Actix helps wireless carriers enhance revenue growth and improve operating margins by delivering automated network performance engineering and network status management systems. Actix solutions feature embedded wireless expertise and automating key processes.
