An insider from CDC Games, a business unit of CDC Corporation and a publisher and operator of online games in China, has confirmed with local media that the company will implement personnel changes soon; Xuan Wenhao, chief operating officer of CDC Games, will depart from his position, replaced by Sun Jingqing, general manager of the company.
The unnamed insider quoted by an article on Sina.com revealed that Xuan has already left his position and the company may already have him a new position. With more than ten years' management experiences in the telecom and online game industries, Xuan previously worked as general manager for Optic Communications' corporate development department. In 2007, Xuan became COO of Optic Communications when the company was acquired by CDC Games and then he was appointed COO of CDC Games.
Sun joined China's Internet game sector in 2000 and he worked as executive in several game companies, including 17 Game, a subsidiary of CDC Games. In November 2007, Sun became general manager of 17 Game and in March 2009, he was appointed general manager of CDC Games.
Currently, CDC Corporation includes CDC Software focused on enterprise software applications and services, CDC Mobile focused on mobile applications, CDC Games focused on online games, and China.com focused on portals for the greater China markets. In October 2008, Xuan revealed to the local media that CDC Games planned to integrate its game businesses under the unified brand of CDC Games and give up the brands of Optic Communications and 17 Game.
