China's leading third-party electronic payment service provider Alipay.com announced that it has reached strategic cooperation with Spring Airlines, China's first low-cost airline. Travelers are now able to buy tickets for Spring Airlines' flights through AliPay.

According to Wang Zhenghua, the president of Spring Airlines, now more than half of the online ticket sales are completed through a third-party payment platform. To Spring Airlines, the cooperation will boost the development of China's low-cost airline.

Currently AliPay is the partner of Shenzhen Airlines, Hainan Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, and China United Airlines. Cooperation with AliPay will help the airlines to reach over 200 million AliPay users more easily.

Alipay is an online payment service subsidiary of Chinese B2B e-commerce giant Alibaba.com.
