Business

U.S.-based Acxiom Corporation has signed a strategic cooperation database marketing agreement with China's primary direct mail service provider, China Post Group.

Li Guohua, China Post's vice president, stated: "Although the direct mail industry has grown over the past few years, it is still in a development stage. Because of the proactive promotion by China Post, the value of direct mail is being recognized by more and more companies and is being applied to such areas as product promotion, communication channels, customer relationship management and market research."

China Post started direct mail service in 2004, which provides a communication platform for small and medium-sized enterprises. In 2008, China Post released 12 direct mail services based on the market segments and needs, which are leveraged by the advantages of brand, data, channel and excellent service capabilities.

Financial terms of this deal have not been revealed by either party.
