David Roman, head of marketing for Lenovo Group, announced that the Chinese PC maker plans to launch a dual-mode PC product named IdeaPad U1 in China at the beginning of 2011.
Roman's recent announcement to local media stated that the company original planned to launch the product in June 2010, but it was postponed due to its failure to reach the standards of the company. Moreover, Lenovo had not decided in what way the product should be launched.
Lenovo Group hopes to continue to keep ahead of its competitors in the market as what it did in the past four quarters, and finally become the largest PC maker in the world, said Roman.
By sales volume, Lenovo is the fourth largest PC maker in the world, following Hewlett-Packard, Dell, and Acer.
