Siemens Business Communication Systems and HP China have signed a strategic memorandum of understanding to jointly develop services for the Chinese market.

Under the MOU, Siemens and HP will implement cooperation in the unified communications and collaboration solution field. Combining Siemens' mature products, complete technical system and advanced solutions in the business communication field with HP's sales power, wide market coverage, professional service team, rich project experience and development ability in China, the two companies say they are committed to providing customized and comprehensive UC&C solutions to the Chinese market, so as to increase their market share in China.

Siemens' OpenScape UC&C solution is an end-to-end pure software solution. Its OpenScape Voice is reportedly the only voice application platform which is optimized for business communication and achieves the carrier-class reliability.

HP's service network reportedly covers over 1,700 cities in China, and through the cooperation, Siemens Business Communication Systems will gain a powerful partner in the service and application development sectors; while HP China will be able to access the leading business communication system platform in the industry. Both of the two parties are expected to enhance their expansion capacity in the UC&C market and to maintain their leadership in the Chinese market.
