Apple's App Store Now Accepts Yuan Payments In China

After an upgrade, Apple changed the terms of use of its App Store in China and has started accepting Yuan-denominated settlement in the country.

At present, Apple's App Store supports Renminbi payments with bank cards and credit cards issued by various Chinese banks, including China Merchants Bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Construction Bank, Agricultural Bank of China, Shanghai Pudong Development Bank, China Everbright Bank, China Bohai Bank, Shenzhen Development Bank, Postal Savings Bank of China, Bank of Communications, China CITIC Bank, Huaxia Bank, and Bank of East Asia.

In addition, users can recharge their accounts with bank cards and credit cards issued by Bank of China, Ping An Bank, Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank, China Minsheng Bank, China Guangfa Bank, Bank of Beijing, Beijing Rural Commercial Bank, China CITIC Bank. Four recharge amounts are available, which are CNY50, CNY100, CNY300 and CNY500.

Meanwhile, the prices of software on the App Store website have also been changed to the Chinese local currency.
