Sony Mobile's WCDMA/HSDPA Smartphone Comes To China

Sony Mobile Communications, previously known as Sony Ericsson, has announced that its first Sony-branded smartphone product Xperia S LT26i will soon be launched in mainland China, with the recommended retail price at CNY4,298.

As the flagship product of the new-generation Sony Xperia smartphone, the launch of Xperia S LT26i marks Sony's enhanced use of its unique advantages in technology and entertainment to explore the mobile communication market.

Xperia S LT26i adopts a 4.3-inch HD touch screen, Sony BRAVIA Engine image processing technology, a built-in 12 million pixel camera with Exmor R back-light CMOS sensor, and a 1.3 million pixel camera. The new product carries a Android2.3.7 system and the 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It supports GPS navigation, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology, wireless Internet access, and WCDMA/HSDPA network functions. It also provides clear sound quality surround sound technology, xLOUD techniques, and support equalizer settings manually.

Magnus Ahlqvist, president for Sony Mobile Communications Greater China, told local media that electronic and communication products are rapidly changing the digital life of consumers. Sony is the one manufacturer that can integrate the advanced technologies and quality services in consumer electronics, network services, interconnection devices and entertainment contents, so as to provide new interconnection entertainment experiences to users. The new-generation Sony Xperia smartphones will fully play Sony's brand advantage to create a fantastic entertainment world for users.
