Japanese systems integration and IT consulting company NTT Data has merged its Chinese businesses and announced the formal establishment of its Chinese headquarters in Beijing.
As one of the largest telecom enterprises in Japan, NTT Data has 60,000 employees worldwide. It currently provides services in 150 cities of 36 countries and regions. NTT Data is mainly engaged in providing information technology services and information technology system integration; and it is specialized in the construction of public information technology system and financial accounts network system.
For its development in China, NTT Data entered the Chinese market in 1998 with two subsidiaries launched in September and October, respectively. In 2012, the company completed the consolidation of the two subsidiaries and formed its Chinese headquarter along with NTT Data (China) Investment Limited, which was set up at the end of 2011.
According to NTT Data's China president, the company's businesses in China are mainly divided into two parts. The first part covers information technology businesses targeting Chinese companies, including information technology system consulting, structuring, and solutions for customers in public, financial, and corporate sectors. The second part is software outsourcing services targeting Japanese companies, including information technology system integration and maintenance services, BPO, process outsourcing, and application management outsourcing.
In addition, the company is currently participating in the simulation experiment of the new traffic system in Beijing.
