Ericsson announced that starting from April 1, 2013, Jan Signell will be new head for Ericsson Northeast Asia, leading the business operation in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan, and South Korea.
Signell will report to Mats H Olsson, chairman of Northeast Asia and senior vice president of Asia Pacific.
Signell started working for Ericsson's Northeast Asia region from 2012 when he was appointed president of Ericsson Japan. Prior to that, he held various executive positions within Ericsson in Asia. According to the company, Ericsson is continuing to strengthen its focus in Northeast Asia. Signell has been tasked, with the support of Mats H Olsson, to ensure Ericsson's continuous success in this region.
In addition, Signell will remain in his current role as head of Ericsson Japan until a successor has been appointed.
