China's ZTE Net Profit Up 42% In First Three Quarters Of 2015

Chinese telecom device maker ZTE says from January to September 2015, the company's operating revenue reached CNY68.523 billion, a year-on-year increase of 16.53%; its net profit attributable to shareholders was CNY2.604 billion, a year-on-year increase of 42.19%; and its basic earnings per share were CNY0.63.

For the third quarter alone, ZTE reported operating revenue of CNY22.624 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7.21%; while its net profit increased by 40.56% year-on-year to CNY989 million.

During the first three quarters of 2015, ZTE's carrier network operating revenue increased by 22.40% compared with the same period of last year. The revenue growth was mainly contributed by GSM/UMTS system equipment in China and abroad; FDD-LTE system equipment in China and abroad; wired switch and access system in China; and optical communication system in China and abroad.

At the same time, ZTE's mobile device operating revenue decreased by 9.01% year-on-year, due to the revenue decrease in China; and its operating revenue from telecom software system, service, and other products increased by 45.78% year-on-year, due to revenue increase of video and network terminal products.
