Kingsoft published its unaudited performance report for the second quarter of 2017 stating that the company achieved operating revenue of about CNY1.284 billion, a year-on-year increase of 71%.
Its net profit attributable to owners of the parent company was about CNY250 million while it made losses of about CNY808 million in the same period of last year.
For the first half of 2017, Kingsoft's operating revenue was about CNY2.498 billion and its net profit attributable to owners of the parent company was about CNY489 million.
Kingsoft's online game revenue accounted for 63% of the total operating revenue in the second quarter of 2017; its cloud services revenue accounted for 24% of the total; and its office software and services and other businesses contributed 13% of the total revenue.
Lei Jun, chairman of Kingsoft, said that during the second quarter of 2017, Kingsoft's various businesses achieved remarkable development. Its flagship PC online game JX Online III realized a revenue increase of 47% year-over-year. Kingsoft's cloud business maintained a rapid and strong growth in every vertical sector and launched new services in the artificial intelligence sector. In addition, WPS Office had officially submitted an application to be listed on the Growth Enterprise Market of Shenzhen Stock Exchange, aiming to enhance its market influence.
In regards to the second half of 2017, Lei said they will strive to maintain the growth trend of its online game, cloud services, and office software and services.
