According to reports in foreign media, Qualcomm's joint venture in China's Guizhou Province will be closed by the end of April 2019.
The joint venture HXT was established in 2016 and it is mainly engaged in design, development, and sales of advanced server technologies.
It is said that HXT's executives announced the decision to shut down the company on April 30 at an internal conference. The news was disclosed by an employee of the company.
By August 2018, Qualcomm and Guizhou Province had invested USD579 million in HXT.
Neither Qualcomm nor HXT provided any comment on the rumor.
