According to statistics from China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, from January to April 2019, China's software and information technology service showed a stable and rapid development and its software business revenue maintained a fast growth.

During the first four months of 2019, China's software business realized revenue of CNY2.05 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 14.8% and the growth rate was 0.5 percentage point higher than the same period of last year. Meanwhile, the software business revenue increased by 15.6% in April and the growth rate was 0.5 percentage point higher than the same period of last year.

For profit, the entire industry realized total profit of CNY250.3 billion from January to April, a year-on-year increase of 8.7% and the growth rate was 2.1 percentage points lower than the same period of last year. In April alone, the total profit decreased by 4.4% year-on-year.

In regards to software export, from January to April 2019, China's software export reached USD15.3 billion, a year-on-year increase of 8%. Of which, China's outsourcing service export increased by 9.2% and its embedded system software export increased by 4.8%.

In addition, during the reporting period, China's average number of employees in the software industry reached 6.23 million, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%; and the total wages of those employees increased by 15.8% compared with the same period of last year.
