Tsinghua Unigroup recently announced plans to set up a DRAM business group, with Diao Shijing as chairman of the DRAM business group and Gao Qiquan as CEO of the DRAM business group.
With years of development, Tsinghua Unigroup has formed certain foundation in the storage design and manufacturing sector and they accumulated R&D and industrial experience from design, manufacturing, testing, solution construction to global bulk production and sales.
In regards to the DRAM sector, Tsinghua Unigroup's Xi'an UniIC Semiconductors self-developed the world's first DRAM storage product series with embedded self-test and repair. In the 3D NAND sector, Tsinghua Unigroup's Yangtze River Storage Technology successfully developed 32-layer 3D NAND chip and realized small volume production. Its innovative Xtacking TM technology achieved a historical breakthrough of 3D NAND chip structure.
The newly appointed DRAM business group chairman Diao has over 30 years of industrial experience in the ICT sector. He previously worked for several information technology offices of the government.
The newly appointed DRAM business group CEO Gao is currently global executive vice president of Tsinghua Unigroup, director and acting chairman of Yangtze River Storage Technology, and CEO of Wuhan XMC. Gao has been working in the semiconductor and DRAM sectors since 1980 and he previous worked for Fairchild Semiconductor and Intel. In 1987, Gao joined TSMC as factory manager and he later founded Macronix.
