During the 24th World Energy Congress held in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from September 9 to 12, 2019, China's Huawei announced its innovative solutions for the energy industry basing on 5G and AI technologies, aiming to promote the intelligent development of the energy industry.

Huawei introduced that those 5G and AI-based innovative solutions include 5G shared base station solution, 5G mining, grid intelligent inspection AI solution, and intelligent distribution terminal basing on open edge computing architecture.

Ji Xiang, general manager of global energy business unit of Huawei enterprise business, said that Huawei is committed to re-defining energy through innovations with leading information and communication technologies. Huawei has deep insights and solutions of 5G, AI, and cloud technologies, which will help the energy industry realize a leaping development from digitization to intelligence.

The World Energy Congress is held by the World Energy Council and it is an international congress which has important influence in the global energy sector. The theme of the 24th World Energy Congress is "Energy for Prosperity". Representative from about 150 countries and regions jointly discussed the latest technical results, development strategies, solutions, and opportunities and challenges in the energy sector.
