Chinese short video platform Douyin formally announced the launch of a new creator sharing program, aiming to invite Douyin users from all over the country to share their stories.

A representative from Douyin said that this program aims to establish a stage for users and jointly explore short video creation with users. The platform intends to encourage more users to share their real, diverse, and valuable contents to record their beautiful life on Douyin together.

Statistics show that by July 2019, Douyin's daily active users had exceeded 320 million. Official statistics from Douyin show that by August 2019, there had been 27 content sectors achieved daily average plays of over 100 million. Of which, lifestyle record contents were the most popular and accounted for 21%. Meanwhile, over the past six months, Douyin's culture and education contents achieved the fastest growth and the number of creators with over 10,000 fans increased by 330%.

Prior to this, Douyin opened a few new functions, including authorization of 1-15 minutes video, creator service center, and video collection, to provide more convenience to creators.
