Chinese shared power bank provider Xiaodian recently announced to reach strategic cooperation with Wanda Cinemas.

With the strategic cooperation, Xiaodian will enter Wanda Cinemas' over 300 movie theaters in Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Hunan, Shandong, Sichuan, and Chongqing. Meanwhile, the two parties will team to further accelerate Xiaodian's distribution in movie theaters of major cities across China.

Prior to this, Xiaodian already entered cinema brands like Poly Cinemas, Lumiere Pavilions, Bona, Jackie Chan Cinema, and Omnijoi International Cinema. So far, the company has reached cooperation with more than 5,000 movie theaters nationwide.

Tang Yongbo, founder and CEO of Xiaodian, said that movie theater is one of the core service scenarios for Xiaodian and it is the place where shared power bank is frequently used. By cooperating with national cinemas like Wanda Cinemas, Xiaodian will be able to improve its coverage and service experience. In the future, the company will continue to enhance its brand expansion strategy and develop its shared power bank network in core scenarios with more brands.

Brand cooperation is an important strategy for Xiaodian's market expansion. At present, Xiaodian has leading market share in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Xi'an, Wuhan, and Changsha. In addition, the company continues to expand into third- and fourth-tier cities.
