U.S. Cybersecurity Company Says Chinese Hackers Likely Infiltrated Some Indian Orgs A U.S.-based cybersecurity company said Wednesday it's likely that Chinese hackers infiltrated some Indian organizations. The Insikt Group, the threat research division of Massachusetts-based Recorded Future, said it found evidence that an Indian media conglomerate, a police department and the agency responsible for the country's national identification database were likely hacked by state-sponsored Chinese hackers. The Insikt Group said the hacking group, given the temporary name TAG-28, used Winnti malware, which it said is exclusively used by several state-sponsored Chinese groups.
