Xiaomi To Open A Car Plant In Beijing With An Annual Production Of 300,000 Vehicles

The Chinese smartphone giant completed business registration for its vehicle unit in late August. According to various media, Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi Corp will build a plant that can produce 300,000 vehicles a year in Beijing for its electric vehicle unit, authorities in the capital said on Saturday. The plant will be built in two phases and Xiaomi will also build its automotive unit headquarters, sales and research offices in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone, the government-backed Beijing E-Town economic development agency said, on your official WeChat account.
