‘Double standards’: China berates PM over TikTok use

Beijing has accused Australia of having “double standards” after Prime Minister Scott Morrison created an account on Chinese-owned social media app TikTok. The PM voiced security concerns about the app last year – saying its “extension cord” goes back to the country. Mr Morrison created an account on Christmas Eve to wish Australians well for the festive season. China’s foreign ministry spokesperson says Australia should provide a fair and non-discriminatory environment for Chinese companies. Read More
