A huge collection of data including images linked to China’s mistreatment of Uighurs and other ethnic minorities has been handed to the BBC. The information was hacked from Chinese police computers. It includes evidence of a shoot-to-kill policy for anyone trying to escape from so-called “re-education” camps in the western region of Xinjiang.
