On Wall Street, all 11 of the S & P 500’s industry groups were higher. Consumer discretionary and real estate rose more than 7 per cent. Information tech was more than 6 per cent higher, communication services gained at least 6 per cent. Energy lagged, though it was up 1.8 per cent.
