Seemingly in line with other actions made my foreign companies operating in China, HSBC announced to its business users that it would be removing a business background check service embedded in its app.

The Linklogis will be terminated on June 10, 2023, states a message from HSBC to its members. HSBC's message states, "Thank you for your continuous support for HSBC Business Go. Please be informed that the mainland China business background check widget provided by Linklogis International Company Limited will no longer be available on HSBC Business Go after 10 June 2023. You may contact Linklogis if you wish to continue your subscription of the data plan after 10 Jun 2023."

Other companies like Bain and Capvision who provide due diligence services in China have recently been raided and face increased scrutiny in China.
