The UK’s blue-chip index - which is more heavily influenced by international trade - has fallen as much as 0.8pc in early trading, while the mid-cap FTSE 250 has dropped 0.6pc. It follows falls in Asian markets and a fifth consecutive session of losses for the pan-European STOXX 600 index, which was down 0.6pc following the poor China data....
