The U.S. added 441,078 new millionaires last year, according to the UBS Global Wealth Report 2026. That works out to more than 1,200 new millionaires every day and is an increase of 1.9% from 2024.
The report also found that the world gained nearly 1 million new millionaires during 2025, and that the U.S. accounted for almost half of all newly minted millionaires.
The U.S. Remains The World’s Wealth Powerhouse
There are now more than 57.5 million millionaires worldwide, UBS estimates. Of those, roughly 23.6 million live in the U.S., or more than 40%.
Don’t Miss:
Over half of global personal wealth remains concentrated in the U.S. and China combined, the report also found. While wealth growth was broad-based in 2025, with every market tracked by UBS ending the year with more millionaires than it started with, the U.S. continues to dominate the global wealth landscape.
Global personal wealth increased 10.8% in 2025, the fastest pace since 2017. UBS said wealth growth was fueled by strong financial markets and rising non-financial assets. The report added that the share of adults with less than $10,000 in wealth has fallen from nearly 75% in 2000 to just over 41% in 2025, suggesting more people are moving into higher wealth brackets over time.
