Taylor ("Letters," February 5) cautions: "the idea that we can consume our way out of disaster while ploughing on as usual" (buying more solar panels, batteries, EVs, electronics, induction cookers and heat pumps for heating and cooling) is clearly "politics in a lab coat" framed by "electrify everything".
