Zhejiang Mailian Medical Technology Co., Ltd. announced it has completed a 100 million yuan ($14.1 million) Series B funding round, fueling the commercial expansion of its non-invasive brain-computer interface (BCI) technologies across clinical and home rehabilitation environments.
The investment round was jointly led by Chuangda Industry Control and GSR United Capital. Founded in 2018, the Hangzhou-based medical technology company specializes in non-invasive BCI platforms for the diagnosis, closed-loop treatment, and long-term management of neurological conditions and emotional disorders.
Mailian Medical is developing a multidisciplinary ecosystem combining non-invasive neural monitoring with generative artificial intelligence. Its current product lineup includes sleep cognition intervention platforms, brain-controlled embodied intelligence systems, and a closed-loop brain-electromyography (EMG) rehabilitation framework designed to treat post-stroke swallowing difficulties.
Dr. Cui Zhengzhe, founder of Mailian Medical, stated that the fresh capital represents a major milestone for the firm. Cui noted that the company will use the funding to accelerate the construction of multimodal BCI neuromodulation large models, driving the rollout of BCI hardware from tertiary hospitals into community health centers and patient homes.
Investing partners highlighted Mailian Medical's regulatory registration certificates, clinical dataset accumulation, and non-invasive technology stack as primary drivers for the investment. The funding round reflects growing venture capital interest in non-invasive BCI solutions across China, as developers seek scalable, non-surgical alternatives to invasive neural implants for long-term patient care.
