NASA has already completed Artemis II, which carried four astronauts around the Moon earlier this year without attempting a landing. The mission tested spacecraft systems and prepared crews for future lunar operations. The focus now shifts to Artemis III, expected next year, which will validate key technologies needed before astronauts return to the lunar surface. If everything proceeds as planned, Artemis IV could place astronauts back on the Moon in 2028.
