First International Digital, Inc. (FID), maker of the popular irock! family of digital audio devices, recently announced the opening of its office in Beijing, China.
The Beijing office will work closely with headquarters in Schaumburg, IL and will be responsible for the coordination of FID's business development throughout Asia. The office will be the marketing and sales office for the licensing of FID software products.
"The opening of the Beijing office is testimony to the success of our company, the expansion of our business and our product strength," said Tomas Wang, President and CEO of FID. "We are working closely with partners based in Asia who are implementing our software technologies in their products, and demand for our offerings keeps growing." Local staff will provide support to OEM's building FID's software technology into their products and will support developers and content providers who use FID's software tools to create multimedia content for devices such as cellular phones and PDAs. The office will also support distribution channels such as cellular operators to deliver content wirelessly to consumers.
"The opening of this office makes us fully operational in one of the largest and most important markets in the world," said Randy Cavaiani, EVP of Marketing and Sales at FID. "This office allows us to expand our business in the region and to closely support manufacturers and content providers that are including our software platforms in their products. Through this office we can now better serve our partners and customers."
