China Unicom and Shanda, the largest domestic game developer, have joined forces in creating a network gaming chain in hopes of obtaining a larger market share.

China Telecom currently occupies 70% of the market. China Unicom, with Shanda's assistance, plans to build up its chain of Internet cafés to become the premier in China.

Yin Yuan, Deputy Director of China Unicom, claims the service link from Shanda will cover game development, user terminals and the chain of Internet cafés. Top management from both sides are encouraging players to try out China Unicom's Internet cafés which provide players with mobile guest services, player communication areas and preferential sales policies.
