China Mobile Establishes Largest Call Center In Jiangsu Province

Chinese telecom operator China Mobile has announced that it has decided to establish its largest call center, which will have 20,000 seats, in Huaian, Jiangsu province.

With an investment of over CNY2 billion, the first phase project of the call center will start construction before the end of the year and will initially provide 10,000 seats. On the completion of the entire project, it will provide 10086 and 12580 hotline services to over ten provinces and cities in the eastern China region.

At present, there are more than 80 call center projects in Huaian, including the Huian sub-center of China Mobile's Jiangsu customer service center; the phone marketing centers of China Telecom and China Unicom; and other financial and insurance and commercial and trade customer service centers. Of those, China Mobile's Huian sub-center provides 10086 hotline services to 12 cities in the entire province of Jiangsu, with the exception to Suzhou.

According to Tong Yuxiang, director for Huaian Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, the new call center of China Mobile is expected to bring 50,000 to 60,000 jobs to local people.
