Lenovo Group VP Wei Jianglei Departs Company

Wei Jianglei, Lenovo Group vice president and chief marketing officer of Lenovo China and cloud service, departed the company at the end of December 2014.

Yes local media are confusing on the real reasons for the departure. On one hand, the company is reporting Wi left Lenovo due to personal reasons, but Chinese media are reporting that Wei will formally join an Internet company at the beginning of 2015.

Wei joined Lenovo Group in 2007 as Greater China strategy and operation vice president, leading the formulation and execution of strategies and establishment and improvement of operation management system. During his service at Lenovo, Wei also held positions like COO for China, Greater China, Russia and emerging markets. Before that, Wei worked for HP from 1996.

Wei has a Master's degree of business administration from Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University.
