Chinese Enterprises Refuse Participation in US Exhibition

November 26, 2004

With only six weeks left before the Las Vegas 2005 Consumer Electronics Show in the United States, many Chinese enterprises are stepping out of the exhibition as a show of support for colleagues denied visas to attend.

The United States government has tightened visa requirements in recent years, causing many verifiable Chinese technology executives difficulties when obtaining their visas.

Apparently the organizer in the United States is currently issuing refunds to the unnamed companies who have had to cancel.

Local media report that Chinese enterprises are planning to attend Eurpopean exhibitions instead, as it is easier to receive Euro business visas.
