What Does Qunar.com's Executive Team Shake-up Look Like?

Chen Zhenyu, chief executive officer of Chinese travel website Qunar.com, announced personnel adjustments via an all-employee letter.

According to Chen, Zhang Qiang was promoted to president of Qunar, leading the company's overall operations along with Chen; Hu Jie was promoted to chief operating officer of Qunar, leading overall user services; Li Jifeng was promoted to chief executive officer of greater accommodation business unit of Qunar, leading the overall management and operation of this unit.

Chen told local media that Zhang joined Qunar in January 2014 and worked as general manager of the destination service business unit, group executive vice president and CEO of destination service business unit, and group COO and CEO of greater accommodation business unit. Hu previously worked for Ctrip from 2008 and joined Qunar in 2012, leading its user operations division. Li previously worked as wireless technology senior director, head of local system integration, and deputy general manager of the destination business unit. Li was promoted to senior vice president of the group in November 2016.

In addition, Chen said in the letter that after a one-year effort, Qunar achieved their major targets for 2016 and realized the promise of making profit in their fiscal Q3.
