China Mobile Announced Annual Results For 2018

China Mobile recently published its performance report for 2018, stating that the company's total operating revenue reached 736.8 billion, a year-on-year increase of 1.8%; meanwhile, its communications service revenue reached CNY670.9 billion, a year-on-year increase of 3.7%.

In the individual mobile market, China Mobile continued to maintain its leading position. Its share of newly added 4G customers and dataflow increased to about 50% in the fourth quarter of 2018.

During the year of 2018, China Mobile's 4G user number reached 713 million, including 380 million VoLTE users. Its mobile Internet dataflow increased by 182.1% year-on-year and its 4G dataflow of usage reached 6.6GB in December 2018. In addition, the company's mobile average revenue per user reached CNY53.1, leading the industry.

In the home market, China Mobile gained 37.42 million new home broadband users in 2018, reaching a total of 147 million, and its market share was 41.5%. Its comprehensive ARPU of home broadband was CNY34.4, a year-on-year increase of 3.2%.

In the government and enterprise market, the company's customers reached 7.18 million, a year-on-year increase of 19.2%. Its share of group communications and information revenue was 38.5%, an increase of 2.2 percentage points.

For Internet of Things, China Mobile's IoT smart connections saw a net increase of 322 million, reaching a total of 551 million.
