Four national banks of China are going to soon adopt a third-party digital certification for their online banking system despite already having their own certification systems in place.

Li Xiaofeng, general manager of the China Financial Certification Authority (CFCA), says that the four major national banks are the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China and Construction Bank of China.

CFCA has reached an agreement with those four banks and the latter have agreed to adopt CFCA's third-party digital certificates.

Digital certificates bind an individual or company's information with an e-signature and by doing so help ensure the safety of online bank transactions.
