Guangdong Telecom Stakes CNY50 Million On Network Games

Guangdong Data Communication Network Company, an affiliate of Guangdong Telecom, has spent US$4 million for rights to the popular South Korean computer game "RFonline".

Yu Guohua, general manager of GDCN, tells local media that his company is planning to use the game as a base to provide more entertainment services via the Internet.

The company has also prepared CNY50 million for the operation of the game.

Guangdong Telecom has declined to disclose further details of the timing of the game's launch or other financial details.
