The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday approved the “CHIPS and Science Act,” a bill with the stated intention of boosting economic competitiveness with China. Included in the provisions of the legislation is the allocation of more than $52 billion for U.S. corporations to boost the production of American-made semiconductors, according to CNBC.
