2008 Frost & Sullivan Growth Excellence Awards honour the best-in-class companies and individuals

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (October 29, 2008) /China Newswire/ — The 2008 Frost & Sullivan Growth Excellence Awards banquet recognised several world-class companies and individuals for successfully growing their corporations, continuously innovating products and processes and outstanding leadership skills that continue to drive excellence.

In its inaugural year in Asia, the Awards recognised eight exemplary organisations and individuals at the banquet officiated by Yang Berhormat Tuan Haji Fadillah Yusof, Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Malaysia

The banquet was attended by C-level executives from the award receiving organisations and prominent figures in the Malaysian government, trade and banking and finance industry. Other senior-level attendees at the banquet include Telekom Malaysia, Time DotCom, Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation, British High Commission, Siemens, Asia Finance Bank, RHB Investment Bank, Ericcson, Malaysian Biotechnology Information Centre (MABIC) and Macquarie Telecom.

Speaking at the ceremony, Manoj Menon, partner and Asia Pacific managing director of Frost & Sullivan, said that the recipients have pushed the boundaries of excellence and raised the bar for the industry at large to remain competitive.

Divided into three main categories – excellence in growth, excellence in innovation and excellence in leadership – the awards are a reflection of the current market landscape and are carefully examined to determine their relevance to the ever-evolving and competing market place.

The contenders were evaluated for all the categories through market participant interviews, extensive primary and secondary research. The short-listed nominees were further evaluated by an expert team of Frost & Sullivan analysts based on social impact of the business, profit margins, stock performance, market growth and penetration, market share and overall industry standing of the business.

Frost & Sullivan senior management team deliberated on the short listed nominees through subjective and expert criteria which included a 360-degree analysis before identifying the recipient.
