Chandigarh Police on Monday said they had arrested 21 people, including a Chinese national, after raids in the last 10 days for allegedly cheating and extorting money from people after trapping them through small easy loan lending applications in Chandigarh and elsewhere. The Chinese national was identified as Wan Chenghua, 32, who lived in Greater Noida despite his visa having expired in 2021. Chenghua, police said, arrived in India in 2019.
