China's State Administration of Radio, Film and Television has recently issued an avisory to media nationwide, criticizing four broadcasting institutions for violating rules by adding channels or changing their channel names without approval.

The four parties are Jiangsu People's Radio Station, Nanjing Municipal People's Radio Station, Hefei Municipal People's Radio Station and Huai'an Municipal TV Station. While issuing the national criticism, SARFT also issued them a notice on the punishment they are going to receive if they continue to break the rules. The proposed punishments have not yet been announced publicly.

SARFT said that in order to strengthen the management of the broadcasting and TV stations and their frequencies, it had reinforced the supervision on the work of these organizations and enlarged the punishments of the violators.

These four parties have reportedly already stopped their infringing activities.
