SARFT, the State Administration of Radio, Film, and Television, was a regulatory body in China responsible for overseeing the country’s broadcasting, film, and television industries. It played a crucial role in censorship, content regulation, and licensing within these sectors. SARFT was merged with the General Administration of Press and Publication in 2013 to form the State Administration of Press and Publication, Radio, Film, and Television (SAPPRFT).
