Kingsoft Internet Security Software Holdings Limited, the Internet security subsidiary of Kingsoft, has announced that it has merged with Keniu Network, a Chinese security software provider, and formed an independent company named Kingsoft Network.

Fu Sheng, CEO of Keniu, will be the new CEO of Kingsoft Network; Wang Xin, CEO of Kingsoft Internet Security, will be new COO of Kingsoft Network; and Xu Ming, CTO of Keniu, is appointed CTO of the new company. Meanwhile, Qiu Bojun and Lei Jun, chairman and vice chairman of Kingsoft, respectively, are the board members of the newly established technology security company. Kingsoft Network is jointly held by its management team, Kingsoft Group, and Matrix Partners.

Kingsoft Internet Security was previously separated from Kingsoft Group and its products include Kingsoft Duba, Kingsoft Defender, and Kingsoft Web Shield; while Keniu's products include Keniu Antivirus Freeware and Keniu Image. With the integration of the two companies, Kingsoft Network will reportedly have tens of millions of users.
