Centra, a provider of specialized application software and services for online business collaboration, today announced that Ikonnet Technologies, Centra's principal reseller based in Shanghai, has partnered with Shanghai Information Industrial Co, a subsidiary of China Telecom, to jointly market Centra's ASP online meeting services.
The service was launched on May 17th, 2004. Residential and business customers throughout China will benefit from the Centra ASP service to conduct online meetings in real-time and deliver mission-critical knowledge and training. Centra offers a robust live online environment, localized in both simplified and traditional Chinese, that works over a single low-bandwidth network connection with superior reach and universal access through firewalls and proxy servers.
Recent customers leveraging Centra include Wu'xi Ariston Co., a subsidiary company of Merloni TermoSanitari; TCL Household Appliance Marketing Co.; LiteON Technologies Co. and Shanghai Leishen Consultant Co., a subsidiary company of Raytheon Professional Services. These customers have all selected Centra to provide a convenient and secure technology for online meetings and training sessions. In addition, Neusoft Institute of Information Technology, China's first higher learning institution that specializes in nurturing high-level talents in the field of computer science and engineering, will use Centra to provide live, instructor-led distance education and training programs.
