Reports today confirm that the website of China Adoption Center, an affiliate of the Civil Administration Of China, was hacked and then manipulated yesterday.

The China Adoption Center is engaged in providing policy assistance to foreigners who want to adopt children in China.

The hacker had left his name as "THEBESTOFTURKISHHACKERHERE" and also included his contact details. The homepage was altered and was not fixed until 7PM last night.

There is no word yet on how Chinese and international crime agencies plan to look for the attacker. Though he left contact information, often this information can be false. Because many attackers use proxies and hijacked computers, it is frequently difficult to find good forensic evidence.
